School is open today. Please use caution and allow for extra travel time. Please ensure your child is prepared for the weather today. A reminder that HOT LUNCH has been moved to next week (Thursday) - students will need a lunch today.

Some bus routes are directly affected.  District Transportation will out a message to all families registered for bus service.  Altered routes include Routes 2, 4, 5, 9. The north zone is particularly affected. There will also be no busing to Claremont or Willis Point today.

Here is the message on the district website:

Jan 18th (5:55 am) - All Saanich Schools will be OPEN on Thurs Jan 18th. While side streets are clear, many of them are extremely slippery as ice has formed overnight.  Some bus routes have been affected including some route cancellations. Parents/guardians of students registered for bus travel will be receiving an email from the Transportation Department with detailed information.

Please be extra careful on your way to and from school. Any changes to school opening or closing will be communicated through this website.
