Deep Cove Elementary Start-Up 2022-2023

~The following information has also been emailed to all families with students registered for the 22/23 school year.~

Dear Deep Cove Families:

We hope that all of you were able to find time to rest and rejuvenate this summer. Following Friday’s announcement to Deep Cove families from Superintendent Eberwein, both Jodi Beaudry (vice-principal) and I (interim principal) are thrilled to be joining Deep Cove. We are looking forward to getting to know our new school community. Staff are excited to welcome Grade 1 to 5 students on Tuesday, September 6th and Kindergarten students on Wednesday, September 7th. Here are the details:

CURRENT HEALTH & SAFETY ITEMS FOR SCHOOL START-UP:

  • Continue to practise daily health awareness.
  • Stay home when sick.
  • Masks remain a personal choice for everyone.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES:

Deep Cove School will continue to offer the opportunity for parents to leave the school supply shopping to teachers!  For $45.00, you can skip the lines at the stores and Deep Cove staff will purchase all the necessary supplies for each student.  Families will still need to provide indoor runners, backpacks and possibly the occasional ‘special’ supply.

If you would prefer to purchase supplies on your own, please use our Supply ListsPlease do not label any of the items as they are pooled in the classroom.  If school supplies present a financial hardship to your family please discreetly inform either your child’s classroom teacher, Ms. Kalabric or Mr.Jungen, and the fee will be covered from school funds.
